# Getting Started with Gemma Translate - A Beginner's Guide

## Welcome!

Ready to translate? You're in the right place. Gemma Translate is designed to be simple and intuitive. Let's get started!

## Step 1: Visit Gemma Translate

1. Open your web browser
2. Go to **gemmatranslate.org/translate**
3. You'll see the translator interface
4. **No signup needed** - just start translating!

## Step 2: Select Your Languages

### Source Language (Left Side)
- Click the **"From"** dropdown
- Choose your starting language (e.g., "English")
- Or select **"Auto-detect"** to let the model guess

### Target Language (Right Side)
- Click the **"To"** dropdown
- Choose your target language (e.g., "Spanish")
- Browse the full list of 55+ languages

## Step 3: Enter Your Text

1. Click the **left text box** ("Enter text to translate...")
2. **Type or paste** your text
3. You can enter:
- Single sentences
- Multiple paragraphs
- Entire documents

### Tips for Best Results
- Use clear, grammatically correct sentences
- Avoid excessive slang
- For specialized content, provide context

## Step 4: Get Your Translation

1. Translation appears automatically on the right
